All About Vildhjarta

Vildhjarta is a progressive metal band from Hudiksvall, Sweden. They play an aggressive Meshuggah-influenced djent style, characterised by harmonic minor progressions, jarring inharmonic staccato riffs, raspy whisper-screams, and a grand canyon style reverb on clean guitar parts. This style is referred to as "Thall" by the band and their fans. They were signed to Century Media Records in 2011.

Discography

According to Vildhjarta guitarist Daniel Bergström, commitment to their fans and the art of music itself, has only allowed three songs to be released for the past four years. Their debut album will be a concept album that "tells the tale of a hidden and isolated town, narrated in a classic fable manner". Sources of inspiration include the Jungle Book and Final Fantasy VII.
